Both poly-pro and nylon webbing have their advantages & disadvantages. We do use both types in our designs. Both are strong & durable. Poly-pro webbing is generally a looser fiber weave, lighter weight, does NOT stretch when wet & dries quickly therefore is more mildew resistant with a tensile strength of 800lbs. Nylon webbing has a tighter fiber weave, smoother apperance, WILL stretch when wet & does not break down in UVA light. Please be sure to check each item description - it will state which type of webbing has been used in the design!

Yes, most collars and leashes can be washed. They should be washed on gentle or delicate cycle cold water or can be hand washed. A good idea is to place them into a lingerie bag or pillowcase prior to washing, doing so will prevent any snags from occuring or damage to the hardware! It is best to lay them flat to dry out of direct sunlight. Any special washing instructions will be noted in the listing

The martingale collar was designed for dogs (sighthounds) whose necks are larger than their heads such as greyhounds, whippets or italian greyhounds. A gentler option to a choke chain and more fashionable as well! Perfect for training especially for dogs who try to back out of their trational side release collars! A martingale collar fits to the exact size of the dogs neck in the closed position.

Ditzy DOg Designs are all custom-made upon ordering. We try to make our delivery times as soon as possible generally 4 to 5 days. During the holiday season apx. 3 more days should be added to this time frame.

Jacquard ribbon generally has a detailed woven pattern. They usually have open threads on the back of the ribbon.

This yype of ribbon is the most common. It has a ribbed texture that runs across the ribbon.

The pattern on a printed ribbon is painted directly on the ribbon. Care must be taken when washing etc. since the dots can wear off. A woven polka dot ribbon is more durable. The polka dots are apart of the ribbon & have the reverse colors on the opposite side.
